OUR MISSION . . .

We are a family being restored by Christ as we bear His image with joy in all we do.

OUR VALUES . . .

SHAPED BY SCRIPTURE

As a Bible believing church, we seek to allow the scriptures to shape our community as individuals, and as a collective body. As a result, we are primarily expositional in nature. In other words, we preach and teach in a manner that seeks to understand historical context, and author’s intent. While application to the believer’s life is certainly important, it is not primary. Our hope is that we would teach the scriptures with accuracy, and in doing so teach believers to handle it accurately for themselves within Christian community.

GUIDED BY THE SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit resides within every Christ follower. According to the scriptures, He guides us into all truth, produces fruit in keeping with the character of Christ, and empowers the believer with gifts and abilities to build up the body of Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives direction to every believer, bringing us all to unity for the furtherance of the Kingdom and the glory of God. Therefore, Restoration Church encourages all believers to seek the Spirit for the application of scripture as our leadership commits to doing the same.

AUTHENTIC IN COMMUNITY

We believe that Christ intended the believer to live in community with others. Restoration Church is committed to transparent relationships with the goal of transformation. It is in the confession of sin and the acceptance of truth that Christ shapes the heart and mind of the believer into His likeness. God’s people are always in process, and are diverse in personality and abilities. Our prayer is that we would be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, bearing with one another’s faults and failures as we all unite for the purposes of God. We welcome you as you are, with the goal of being transformed by Christ!

SENT BY CHRIST

Jesus’ prayer for all believers was for us to be sent into the world, just as He was sent by His Father. His heart for His Church is that we be filled with joy, and insulated from Satan, but never isolated from the world. As a result, it is our desire to equip and encourage believers to engage the communities surrounding them with the Gospel. Our prayer is that every believer would be so overcome by the power and love of God, that they would demonstrate and proclaim His truth and goodness everywhere they go! Our emphasis is not on how many gather on Sundays, but how many are impacted the rest of the week.

OUR BELIEFS . . .

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe the sole means of the salvation of man is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
